DuPont Building Innovations - Drive to Zero

Three years ago, DuPont Building Innovations began working towards an ambitious goal - to reduce the 81 million pounds of annual landfill waste to zero. Through the use of Six Sigma methodology, DuPont Building Innovations has successfully become entirely landfill-free by reducing, reusing and recycling manufacturing byproducts and waste at manufacturing sites globally. By not just reducing landfill, but eliminating it, the business's work to reduce its environmental footprint creates a new standard for environmental stewardship.

Designing a Cure for Cancer

DuPont Building Innovations is honored to support cancer research through DesignLove, the collaborative initiative between Intramuros magazine, Luminaire design company and DuPont. This event is the third iteration of Luminaire's Love series, which uses the power of design as a tool to help combat cancer. The world's top designers were commissioned to create ninety-six unique works for the exhibition and auction. Each distinctive creation was made using an A4-sized sheet of DuPont^TM Corian® solid surface material in the colors of Designer White or Glacier White. The event took place in Miami during Art Basel, the world's premier international art show for modern and contemporary works. With the overwhelming support of design enthusiasts and cancer research supporters from around the world, the exhibition has successfully raised over $50,000 to benefit the Sylvester Comphrensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami. Remaining pieces from the event are still being sold on Luminaire's DesignLove website.

Corian® inspires Design for Emerging Architects

Design enthusiasts traveled to Atlanta during mid-January to celebrate Emerging Voices 11, an exhibit sponsored by AIA Atlanta that spotlighted two of Atlanta's most prominent young architects, Tristan Al-Haddad and Ryan Gravel. The visionary works of these two architects were displayed at MODA, the Museum of Design Atlanta. Emerging Voices is held annually to encourage the exchange of ideas and the potential influence of architecture and design in Atlanta. DuPont^TM  Corian® solid surface is a core material featured in the architects' sculptures such Al-Haddad's "Mobius" and "Pucker Up" as well as Gravel's "BeltLine." Gravel's work for the original design of the Atlanta BeltLine has helped the transit greenway transform into a $2+ billion initiative that generates economic growth and protects the quality of life through the metropolitan area.

Corian® Partners with the Cindy Dole Kitchen Project

Popular radio personality Cindy Dole is documenting her kitchen remodel through the Cindy Kitchen Project, an online blog that includes videos, pictures and design tips while documenting her remodeling process. DuPont has partnered with Cindy for the project, which includes a DuPont^TM Corian® solid surface countertop in Rosemary and Burled Beach as well as a DuPont^TM Zodiaq® quartz surface countertop in Nutmeg. Cindy, host and producer of the Home Wizards Show, is a notable home, garden and lifestyle expert who engages fans by emphasizing that Home Improvement IS Life Improvement! Crossville Android App Goes Live!

Crossville's new Q2R app for the Android smart phone has officially launched! To download the app, simply go to the Market on your phone and search for Crossville Q2R. Before you scan your first Crossville QR code, you may be asked to download a free QR code reader to work with the app.

Crossville Q2R by Crossville, Inc. allows you to create a personal portfolio of products right on your smart phone. Use this "Quick to Request, Quick to Respond" app to scan QR codes that can now be found on all Crossville sample chips. By doing so, you'll immediately get product details, be able to request samples in real time or share links to products through social networks.

And, when you create your own Q2R account, you'll be able to revisit your portfolio online, anytime for easy viewing of product lists and more.

mySurface 2.0 is launched.

In 2009, DuPont Building Innovations revolutionized the way that consumers, architects and designers choose their surfaces when they introduced mySurface, the first iPhone application of its kind.

Just announced, DuPont Building Innovations has launched mySurface 2.0 with full iPad and iPhone support. mySurface is now available in 68 countries around the world and in multiple languages for both the iPhone and iPad.
